Beyond Books Teacher Door: Strategies with 3-6 computers in the classroom

  1. You can easily extend all of the strategies for 1 computer.

  2. Assign your students to work in groups of 2-4, creating projects, research papers, plays, songs, activities, or reports on the topic.

  3. Each Beyond Books Unit topic is broken into Focus topics. Divide your class into groups, each choosing its Focus topic of interest, and assign each group to one of the available computers. Be sure all Focus topics are covered. The groups work in class to create a report or presentation. At the end, each group reports back to the class with its findings. The entire Unit area has been explored and shared with the class.
