To set up Beyond Books access, go to the Beyond Books homepage and locate the BB Registration area in the top-right corner of the page. Enter your eight-character registration code and click on "Go." A new browser window will open. Follow the instructions on that page.
- If you need a Beyond Books user name and password, click the top choice.
- If you have a Beyond Books user name and password from a previous year, for example, click the second choice.
- If the school name shown is incorrect, click the third choice.
If you clicked the first choice:
- Please choose a user name and password for yourself. You will use these to log in during your visits to Beyond Books. Please choose a password that is private and that you can remember. Your password must have at least five characters and is case sensitive (that is, to log in you must enter your password exactly as you enter it here, with upper- or lower-case characters as needed). Your user name must have at least three characters.
- Next, select or enter a password hint question. This hint will help us retrieve your information and allow you to reset your password if you forget it. You may either choose one of our standard hint questions or write your own question. To protect your access, make sure your answer is memorable for you but hard for others to guess.
- In the last section, enter your preferred name and your e-mail address. Your preferred name should be the name that you prefer your students to call you. This name will be used to refer to you, if needed, in materials for your students (as in "Here is the homework assignment for Mr. Brown's class"). Beyond Books will use your e-mail address only to contact you and will not share it with any other parties.
After you have completed the access setup process, or if you already have a user name and password, you will arrive at Your Desk, which has a welcome message and the link "Add a Class" at the bottom. We strongly recommend that you set up your class(es) at this time.
