The homepage is the gateway to the Beyond Books website. From this page, users can navigate to any area of Beyond Books.

1. Log in area: You may want to log in right away when you begin using Beyond Books. To do so, click on the "User Log In" link in the orange box at the upper center. A new browser window will open; enter your user name and password, then click on "Continue." After you successfully log in, you will be able to enter any Beyond Books program within your subscription.

2. Registration area: When you first receive a Beyond Books subscription, you are provided with a registration code. Enter your registration code in the box at the upper-right corner of the homepage. You will then be asked to complete the registration process to set up your Beyond Books access. You will never again need to use the registration box. After you have set up your own user name and password, use these to log in and begin using Beyond Books.

3. Academic disciplines and subject areas: In the yellow center panel of the page are icons for each of the academic disciplines covered in Beyond Books: Social Studies, Science, Literature and Language Arts, World Languages, and Electives. Listed under each of these disciplines are see the subject areas for that discipline; for example, under Social Studies, you'll find American history, government, European history and world cultures. Click on either an academic discipline or a subject area to access the programs page.

4. Teacher Door: In the upper-right corner of the screen is a red button labeled "Teacher Door." It leads to the Teacher Door area, which contains teacher-specific resources.

5. Live Tour: In the upper-left corner of the screen is the circular "Live Tour" button. Click here to take a free peek at all of the currently offered programs as well as soon-to-be-released programs. This is a great source of information about upcoming Beyond Books programs.

6. Beyond Books information: Just below the Live Tour icon in the purple left column of the page are several links to information about Beyond Books.
   • About BB: company background, press releases and news articles regarding Beyond Books, information about the company's employees and Academic Advisory Board, and job and writing opportunities with Beyond Books

   • Subscribe to BB: order forms for school or individual/family subscriptions

   • Schools Using BB: a state-by-state rundown of schools that have subscribed to Beyond Books

   • User Comments: what teachers and students who use Beyond Books have to say about the site

   • FAQs: the most commonly asked questions prospective users have about Beyond Books

   • Contact Us: a quick and easy way to send questions and comments to the Beyond Books staff

7. News and features: The blue box in the right column of the homepage contains current news about Beyond Books. This includes information about new and soon-to-be-released Beyond Books programs, press releases, upcoming Guest Expert sessions, and special offers.

8. Search: At the bottom of the left column is a purple box titled "Search." It leads directly to the Beyond Books search function, which enables you to search for names or topics throughout the Beyond Books website.

9. Terms of Use and Privacy Policy: At the bottom of this and every page of the site are links to the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. In these areas, you can view our company's policies on the conditions of use of its programs and its pledge of confidentiality to its users. By using the Beyond Books website, you agree to our Terms of Use.
