Your Desk has the following additional sections for administrators.
Click on the purple button "Subscription Status" to view a listing of Beyond Books products purchased by your school. Products are divided into Beyond Books packages (available to all users at your school) and individual program titles (available to classes that choose to use them). For each product, the title, total seats purchased, seats still available, activation date, and expiration date are displayed. You can use this page to manage your Beyond Books subscription and check on use of the products you have purchased.
Click on the purple button "Registration Codes" to access teacher and student registration codes. You may give these codes to other teachers or to students if they have not yet set up their Beyond Books access. Please give the teacher registration code to teachers only; the student registration code should be given to students.
Administrators also have the ability to reset the registration codes for the school. You may wish to do this periodically to protect your subscription from overuse. To reset the registration codes, simply use the form in the bottom half of the Registration Codes page. After you click the "proceed" button, your new registration codes will be displayed. You will need to distribute these new codes to any teachers or students who have not yet registered with Beyond Books.
Click on the purple button "All Classes" to view a list of all classes in your school along with the number of students enrolled in each. From this listing, you may view a class's information, roster, class visit log or class portfolio. Click on a class name to go to the class information page; from here, you may delete a class, transfer it to another teacher, or change the class roster.
Click on the purple button "All Teachers" to view a list of all teachers in your school, along with the number of classes set up for each teacher and the date the teacher last logged in at Beyond Books. You can view or edit teacher information, view a teacher's visit log, or remove a teacher from the school using this listing.
Click on the purple button "All Students" to view a list of all students in your school. This listing also shows the number of classes in which each student is enrolled, and the date the student last logged in at Beyond Books. Click on a student's name to reach the student information page; from here, you may view or edit a student's personal information, view the student's visit log or portfolio, or remove the student from a class or from the school.
The listing of all students may be used to manage extra user names that end up in the system from users accidentally reregistering. To remove multiple students from your school at once, select the check box beside the name of each student you wish to remove, then click on "remove checked students from school" at the bottom of the page. You will be asked to confirm before the students you selected are removed.
Click on the purple button "Administrators" to view a list of users with administrative privileges. You may also grant administrative privileges to a teacher by clicking on "add administrator." Choose a teacher from the list, then click on "proceed" to give a teacher administrator status. This will allow the teacher to view and manage school subscriptions and school users in the same manner as you.
