Roman aqueduct

SEGOVIA
28 JUN
Querido Karl,
¡Hola! I'm in Segovia, about 53 miles from Madrid. We drove under the Guadarrama Mountains through a tunnel to get here! There are so many beautiful sights to see, such as the famous castle El Alcázar, the medieval-looking city walls, and the 16th-century cathedral. What impressed me most is the 2000-year-old Roman aqueduct. It's the biggest and best-preserved aqueduct anywhere! I can't believe they used it to carry water throughout the whole city. They must have really loved their baths!

Hasta luego.
Tu hermana,
